about

I'm a visual artist who was born in Hawaii but raised in Brazil. Having a family half chinese and half brazilian influences my daily life, which also made me grow up surrounded by culture and different habits.

My artworks portray a lot about myself — the vulnerability that was finally accepted, unsettling thoughts, where fear and courage walks side by side. My therapist taught me to write down my feelings every end of the day, then I started turning those words into colors on canvas. Painting came to embrace this internal chaos and helps me to control my anxiety, it also gave me patience, self care and confidence.
With a family full of artists, I grew up watching mom creating jewels, dad drawings and poems, and I also have a house full of my grandfather's artworks, where I could get a lot of inspiration from.

All of my artworks are all about colors, textures and layers that tells my story (what I was feeling before creating that piece), traveling from hand to spatulas - everything I can touch becomes a tool. I've always been a curious person, which helped me seeing beyond canvas, exploring as much as I can and spreading colors in different ways, because a little bit of art it's never enough! Expressing myself has never been so easy :)
